Sold the house.
It wasn't even on the market a week and the house sold. Talk about a hot-market in Melbourne, and now I've begun to prepare for an influx of buyers from Facebook Marketplace, because if it isn't nailed down I am probably selling it. And here's one tip: if you have some door knobs laying around, apparently those things sell like hot-cakes, almost like since quarantine fatigue sets in, there's a doorknob shortage. - oh and we had an Earthquake here in Melbourne and we all know the earthquakes are not a joke, but that didn't to stop us from living our lives!
But it's okay, This is Melbourne after all and we will rebuild.
Bought some tech.
On a serious note, soon I'll be living out of a back-pack so in preparation for this I've been looking at different types of equipment and settled on an Asus Go Portal Monitor that is 15.6" and powered by USB-C with a built in battery so that I can use it on the go pretty easily, not worrying about draining my laptop battery; My primary device will be a Lenovo Flexpad 14'. Chromebooks are great and I picked this because of my cloud first approach and experience with Google Workspace, knowing everything is in the cloud will mean I've got a safe and solid back-up for all my files and sensitive data.
Booked a trip.
I've just booked a ticket for the Remote Year program, which will take me through some amazing places. It's an initial four month journey of discovery, learnings and adventure with around 40 other people from all over the world who are doing what they love as well - Working and trying to grow themselves remotely, it won't be easy but this way i will be able to find my feet as a digital nomad faster.
I'm so excited to be part of the Remote Year program. It will give me an opportunity to explore what life is like as a digital nomad while also working on projects with other professionals from all over the world! and it will mean that that I can find my feet easier, I'm certainly looking forward to some of the trips coding bootcamps.
What's after that? Well that's for the next update.
